The heart of our solution is Appia Video Communicator (AVC), an easy, intuitive software client that anyone can download for free to a PC*.

AVC makes it simple and affordable for you to extend video communication to anyone, anywhere. Participants who don't have access to the right bandwidth or equipment, can join AVC sessions by phone.

*To take full advantage of AVC on a PC, you'll need a PC that meets AVC requirements.

Service Options

Appia Video Communicator can be implemented as a hosted service, or as a stand-alone system that you host and manage. Appia's hosted service requires a lower capital investment and takes care of the management of your video sessions.

Minutes of use can be purchased on-demand as needed, or you can choose a monthly unlimited use package. (AVC usage charges are based on each "leg" of a video session, whether host or participant.)

AVC is charged by the minute for each "leg" of a video session, whether host or participant. Billing is based on how long the host and each participants are in a session.

  • Hosted service one-time charges:
    • $150.00 per virtual video room. Video rooms can be purchased for either video conferencing (many-to-many) or broadcasting (one-to-many).
  • Hosted service usage:
    • $0.1290 per minute per participant, including the host, for video conferencing (many-to-many).
    • $0.0390 per minute per participant, including the host, for broadcasting (one-to-many).
    • Ask us about volume discounts.
  • Including the host, there is a general limit of 6 participants in a video conference and 129 participants in a broadcast. Ask us if your requirements exceed these limits, as alternative arrangements can me made on a one-time or ongoing basis.
