Tips for a Better Experience

Whether you are using a conference room, a hotel room or an office, there are a few simple things you can do to enhance your Appia Video Communication experience.

The single most important consideration is lighting. Make sure the background is an off-white color, preferably with a matted texture, with no pictures, plants, etc. Use diffuse lighting (fluorescent is best) with no outside light coming into the room.

• Wear solid colors (no plaids, stripes, checks, etc.) if you will be sending video. Do not wear jewelry
• Minimize the amount you move around
• Make sure the environment is quiet

It is also important to size the display so that participants can see it in the room you are using.
